We've been sitting on this news for a little while... and now we can finally share it.

I'm honestly a little bit blown away to say that Lemon Pie Events has been named a finalist in three categories at the Wedding Industry Awards New Zealand.

When I started Lemon Pie, I never imagined we'd be here. It all began with a little caravan, a love of feeding people and the simple belief that good food and genuine hospitality can make life's biggest celebrations even more special.

Since then, we've had the privilege of being welcomed into hundreds of weddings, birthdays, corporate events and family celebrations. Every event has taught us something, every couple has inspired us and every recommendation has helped this little business grow.

To every couple who's trusted us with your wedding day, every client who's invited us into your celebration, every venue that's welcomed us back, and every fellow supplier who's worked alongside us... thank you. This recognition belongs just as much to you as it does to us.

To my wonderful team (and yes... Mum), thank you for always giving your all. You somehow manage to be everywhere and nowhere all at once, making sure guests are looked after while everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

A little bit of very exciting news from behind the scenes…

The recent film project we catered for, Dunedin — Auditioning Now, has won Gold for Best City Promotion at the US International Awards and has already been accepted into two more international festivals.

Feeding a film crew is an event in itself, and we were thrilled to play our part in keeping everyone well fed throughout filming. As the lovely team told us, as their caterer, we were essentially part of the crew — and we’ll happily claim that!

A huge congratulations to everyone involved. It’s a clever, funny and brilliant showcase of Dunedin, and we’re crossing our fingers there’s even more recognition to come.
