Welcome to our Sushi Making Competition! 🍱

There will only be 48 spots available, and it will be first-in, first-served!

For the first time ever, we will be serving salmon during at our annual Sushi Making Event!

Please fill in the form and submit it to secure your spot in the event! We will email your confirmation at a later date.

✨ Date: Sunday 20th September
✨ Time: 1:00pm – 3:00pm
✨ Location: OUSA Clubs and Societies Building, Harry Evison Lounge
✨ Cost: $6 for OJSA members, $8 for non-OJSA members
✨ Salmon fee: If you would like salmon to be served please pay an extra $4

Registration closes Wednesday 16th September!

Come along and make your own favourite sushi! There will be prizes for the competitive sushi making, so make sure to bring your creativity! 🧠✨

The Languages and Cultures Department is hosting its annual Hanami (cherry blossom viewing) event!
Languages & Cultures at the University of Otago
Come along and enjoy a fun afternoon celebrating Japanese culture with:

🥁 Taiko performances
🎶 Koto performances
🍣 FREE sushi
🎉 FREE entry for everyone!

And yes everything is completely FREE! 🙌✨

If you have a kimono or yukata, you’re very welcome to wear it and join in the festivities! 🌸

おはよございます♪ We are lucky enough to have a customer originating from Hamamatsu who is currently in town and would like to play his small piano keyboard for our customers. He is coming in at 7:30pm tomorrow evening. So if you are looking for some gentle live music during dinner, come in and join us 🎹
