After nearly seven incredible years of serving you, we have made the bittersweet decision to close the doors of Vic Road Kitchen. It has been a privilege to be a part of the community – through highs of cooking for so many special occasions - birthdays, anniversaries, reunions and other special moments, to the lows of navigating a global pandemic and recession. The great atmosphere that these special events created as well as your regular patronage has always been a highlight for us and our staff.
While we are very sad to close Vic Kitchen, we are immensely proud of what we’ve built. We have forged great relationships with our customers, many who are now personal friends and have frequented from the very beginning, watching our family grow to include Sophia and Jack. We have been supported over the years by our amazing staff and suppliers who have been like family, and we couldn’t have done it without them.
As we look forward to focusing on our family and other hospitality ventures, we will take away from Vic Road Kitchen warm memories and gratitude for your unwavering support.

We have some great new concepts and developments that we want to explore with Vic Road Wine Bar & Cellar and The Kestrel and some of Vic Road Kitchen’s old favourite dishes may make an appearance at our other establishments.
Vic Road Kitchen will be open for the next two weeks – our last service will be on Saturday 21st September and we would love to see you one last time.

We do ask, that if you are planning to dine in the next two weeks, that you please book a table. We anticipate being busy and want to be sure to accommodate you. One of our fav wine personalities Emilien Blanchard has jumped over the Auckland bridge and landed at Devonport’s cozy wine bar & cellar. A restaurant, wine bar, and yes, wine retail shop all in one! Emilien’s great nose and international background is your guide to discovering many delicious wines. And how lucky are we to have Foxes Sur Lie Sauvignon Blanc on board?

As a seasonal restaurant, we love welcoming back new season produce - it is like seeing an old friend! And look what old friend has popped back to say hello.
New season asparagus is back in AND on the menu.

Our French Bistro menu will continue this week. Last chance to come in and dine on bouillabaisse, moules et frites, escargot, duck confit and wild mushrooms.

A really simple, beautiful menu that is easy to eat. We have had lots of compliments so come in and try before it ends on Saturday.

French Bistro menu running this week. Last night I had the pleasure of sampling the escargot, moules et frites, squid and duck confit and all were totally delicious!
The menu is now online - check it out and book a table.

Our menu changes weekly ensuring we serve up the freshest produce. Choose from snack items, our in house charcuterie, wood fired pizzas and shared plates and sides - all designed to be shared family style. We operate a near zero waste policy.
