You know you've landed in a pretty special community when random acts of kindness start turning up at your front door.

A massive shout-out to the absolute legends who dropped off this wheelchair ramp for us. We have no idea who you are (we're blaming ourselves for not getting your names or a photo), but your generosity will make a real difference for our customers who need easier access to the pub.

It's one of those gifts that doesn't make a lot of noise, but quietly helps a whole lot of people. And that's pretty bloody awesome.

We'd love to thank you in person, buy you a beer, or at the very least give you an awkward hug... but since we don't know who you are, this Facebook post will have to do so please say hi next time you're in.

Coromandel continues to remind us why it's such a special place. Good people looking after good people, just because they can.

One of my favourite parts of this job is walking into the bar, first thing in the morning, and waking the old girl up, ready for another day. Especially on a crispy Coromandel morning.

Anyone who has worked in Hospo will tell you that it takes a few hours to set everything up before the customers arrive. There’s a bit more to it than turning the lights on and opening the doors, especially if you’ve got a restaurant, Pokies and TAB.

Turn the music 🎶 up, make a fresh coffee and into it. 👊😎👊.

It's game day for the One NZ Warriors as they take on the mighty Bulldogs at Accor Stadium in Sydney. This will be a tough assignment and we need the win to stay near the top of the table.

Kick off at 7.30pm NZT. We will have the game on the big screens, the fire roaring and the kitchen pumping out delicious items from our menu.
