We're looking for a motivated and reliable Sushi Shop Chef to join our team!

What we're looking for:
✅ At least one year kitchen experience
✅ Experience making sushi (preferred, but training can be provided for the right person)
✅ Passion for fresh food and quality presentation
✅ Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
✅ Positive attitude and great teamwork skills
✅ Food safety knowledge is an advantage
✅ Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand

Please note that our trading hours will be adjusted during the School Holidays.

🗓 School Holiday Hours (6 July – 19 July 2026)
Monday – Friday: 9:30 am – 3:00 pm

🌿 Matariki Holiday Closure
We will be closed over the Matariki holiday from Friday, 10 July to Sunday, 12 July, and will reopen on Monday, 13 July 2026.

🥪 Ezlunch orders start next week! 🍱

Make sure you get your order in by 9am for sushi / 8.30am for Subway next Wednesday to make sure your child receives their sushi or Subway lunch.

🙋 Are you new to Waimairi and unsure what this is all about?

Every Wednesday sushi (from The Sushi Ninja) and Subway is delivered to school for those children who have preordered it.

Orders are done via the myKindo app. You will need to log and set up an account to ensure it goes to your child & the correct class.

Once the order is placed and paid for it will ‘magically’ appear at school ready for them to enjoy at lunchtime.
