The Matariki Kaiapoi celebrations are underway!

If you’re at a loose end tonight or tomorrow, head on out to Kaiapoi for an evening of entertainment! It’s on tonight until 8pm with a fireworks display at 7pm, and again tomorrow from 12pm to 9pm.

And while you’re in the area, Ice Cream Charlie has a warm, cosy little shop ready to serve you your favourite Charlie treat! We’re at 77 Hilton Street… how does a warm brownie teamed up with a sundae with your favourite toppings sound?

We’d love to see you. And there’s no public holiday surcharge. 😉

Tonight we’re taking our Charlie crew for a bit of competitive team bonding at Kleanslate Films quiz night fundraiser.

We’ll be closing one hour earlier than usual at 5:30pm, and opening at 11am.

THE TIME HAS COME!

Some of you guessed it (and some of you gave us other fantastic ideas!), but as of today, we’re officially offering a warm dessert option!

Introducing the newest menu item… our new WARM CHOCOLATE BROWNIE!

Take our warm chocolate brownie and pair it with your favourite Ice Cream Charlie sundae.

Then we decided our thickshake toppings deserved to join the party on this one too… feel free to load your dessert up with your favourite sauces and toppings.

Chocolate? Caramel? Raspberry? Flake? Crunchie? Biscoff? Oreo? Nuts? Or just go nuts... we won't judge!

The best part? It's only $5 extra on top of your favourite sundae.

And because our ice cream is gluten free, we’ve made sure there’s a gluten free brownie option too.

Available to eat in or take away (it’s warm and cosy at Kaiapoi, but you might want to reconsider eating at Victoria Square in the weather this week!)

So skip the dishes and treat yourself to something a little warmer this winter. Our first warm dessert option is available from today! And there may be more options on the horizon 😉

Both locations open from 11am - 5:30pm today, tomorrow, and Thursday. Late nights Friday and Saturday until 8:30pm.

We have a short update from Gareth where he draws our International Ice Cream Cake winner!

We also have school holiday colouring-in competitions underway… if you’re looking for something to do these wet, cold, and dreary school holidays, bundle up and head on down to our Kaiapoi store where it’s warm and cosy. Grab yourself an ice cream or thickshake and settle in for some relaxing colouring-in with felts and pencils provided! Colouring-in pictures can also be picked up from our Victoria Square van - just ask for them!

Bring them back to either location… they’ll be proudly displayed in our Kaiapoi store with Ice Cream Charlie vouchers given as prizes at the end of the holidays.
