Cheeky Kea popped into Springfield Adventure Park for a visit and decided to take a trip up the gorge to have a look at the Midland railway line from the river.
They’d seen the Waimakariri from the train in the morning on their way to Arthur’s Pass.
Lovely and warm, albeit a bit windy on a Saturday afternoon.

An early start for this group of paddlers gaining local knowledge and valuable experience training on the Waimakariri Gorge ahead of the coast to coast race in February.
