An absolutely stunning sashimi selection today 🐠

A must for sashimi lovers, featuring hokkigai (surf clam) for the first time. Delicately sweet and beautifully clean on the palate.

Export-quality Trumpeter and Bluefin tuna has also just landed, with otoro (fatty tuna belly) looking exceptionally rich and decadent.

Hokkigai (surf clam) is available as nigiri or sashimi as an off-menu special so please ask for it, strictly while stock lasts!

Happy Matariki ✨
We hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend and staying warm.

We arrived back safely in New Zealand yesterday, with family matters all taken care of.
Thank you so much for all the kind messages of support and love. We’re sorry we couldn’t reply to everyone or post updates on our socials — the past three weeks flew by, and we were all over the place, both mentally and physically.

That said, it’s great to be back, and we can’t wait to see everyone and do what we love most: serving up delicious Japanese meals 😉

We’ll be reopening from tomorrow (Saturday) for lunch, though please note our menu will be somewhat limited to start.
