π The end of Oscars π
Wow! I'm giving myself one post to summarize six years of Oscars Alley Cafe. As some of you may have heard, my mother & I are finishing up with Oscars Alley this week.
The last six years have been an incredible journey that absolutely nothing could have prepared me for. It's nuts to think that I signed onto my post at Oscars in 2017 for "just one year" and yet, I'm still here!
I have an endless amount of wonderful memories here at Nga Mahi, only made possible by you! All of you wonderful people who have come into my cafe to support my business and dream. Over the last six years, we've shared secrets, scandal, stories, successes & failures, celebrations, a damn worldwide pandemic and let's be honest, some absolute s**t yarns at times! π I'm so thankful for each and every one of you. Although the last six years have certainly been difficult at times, I am so lucky to have been surrounded by so many great customers, employees, friends, delivery drivers, suppliers and neighbors, because of this, much of my job has never actually felt like work!
Oscars was always going to come to an end at some point - everything always does. That however, still has not prepared me for how sad and lost I've begun to feel as I head towards my last day on Thursday!
If I don't get a chance to say goodbye to anyone - thank you from the bottom of my heart for being part of Oscars in some way or another! I've always said, Oscars has been what you guys have made it β€οΈ
If you'd like to keep in touch, feel free to add me, I'll leave a comment below!
Once again, thank you, thank you, thank you!
Signing off for the last time,
Alexandra β€οΈ
