Agria potatoes were bred in the Netherlands for one reason - they fry better than anything else. Golden flesh, high starch, the right amount of give.

Ours come with signature seasoning and aioli. They arrive at the table and disappear before anyone agrees to share them.

In Alsace, bakers pressed thin dough against the walls of wood-fired ovens to test the heat before the day's bake. Crème fraîche, bacon, onion on top. They called it Flammkuchen - flame cake. It was never meant to be a dish. It became one anyway.

Ours comes with crème fraîche, bacon jam, pulled pork, and thyme. Hand-stretched, out of the kitchen, onto the table.

A few ingredients have changed. Not much else.

When Leonhard Kaiser was brewing in Bavaria, the recipe wasn't handed down once. It was tasted, tested, and refined across generations before it found its way to Christchurch.

Six Kaiser beers on one paddle. The right way to find the one worth committing a stein to. If you're not sure where to start, ask whoever's behind the bar.

That's what they're there for.

In Bavaria, the Kaiser Bier Haus was never just a place to drink. People came from far and wide to gather, to reconnect, share stories, and stay longer than they planned. Paula ran the front. Leonhard kept the brewery going out back. The occasion took care of itself.

A few generations later, not much has changed. Kaiser has the space for any occasion. Mezzanine, Beer Hall, or the full venue. Birthdays, work drinks, end of year, anything worth gathering for. Steins, pizza, sharing platters.

Tell us what you need. We'll take care of the rest.

In Bavaria, the stein was designed with one thing in mind.

The handle keeps your hand from warming the beer. The size keeps you at the table. A litre means you're committed to the night, not just the drink.

That's still the idea. Poured from the tap, the way it should be.

Seven years ago, Kaiser opened its doors on Oxford Terrace.

Steins on the table. Pizza fresh out of the kitchen. Fries within arm's reach.

Nothing has changed. We'll see you soon.
