🏊 A huge welcome to all the Swimmers and support crews joining us this week! 🏊

Whether you're racing, coaching, cheering, or just along for the ride, we're rolling out the welcome mat for everyone in town for the 2026 New Zealand Short Course Swimming Champs at Parakiore, Sunday 27th September through to 1st October.
It's a big deal for our city too, the first national-scale swimming event held in Christchurch since 2010!

If you're not familiar with the city, let us make life a little easier while you're here. Pegasus Arms is just a short 7 minute walk from Parakiore, right in the heart of the central city - easy to find, easy to get to, and easy to relax in after a big day of racing or spectating.

We're family friendly, so whether it's the whole squad grabbing a feed after finals, parents and support crews needing a proper sit-down meal, or just a quiet pint to unwind, there's a table for you. Just duck through the doo and Simon will sort you out with some of the best baked goods this side of the city: pillowy bombolini-style doughnuts stuffed with custards and curds, butter-laminated croissants and pain au chocolat baked to golden, flaky perfection, and those glossy, fruit-topped pastries that don't last long on the tray. They've been busy in the kitchen dreaming up something fresh for the warmer months. There'll be something for everyone, whatever you're in the mood for.
