Recruiting for the Summer Season

We are gearing up for another busy summer and are looking for awesome people to join our Team at The Vines Club, Spitroast.com, Verve Catering, SR Weddings, and Create & Plate.

We have FOH, Kitchen, Event Chef, Bar Manager, and dishies roles to fill. We operate our own venue and do a lot of catering offsite at other venues so a driver’s licence is a bonus. Our summer season runs mid-October to April and most of our positions are casual.

Looking for reliable people who can use their initiative but also follow instructions.

FOH – need to be presentable, friendly, and happy to work as part of a Team. We cater all over Canterbury so your shift might take you to Kaikoura, Akaroa, Hanmer, a marquee in in paddock, or one of the many other venues we cater for.

Kitchen – while some kitchen experience is a bonus being a quick worker who follows instructions is just as important! During the season we prep A LOT of salads, it’s not rocket science but we do have high standards to maintain and love consistency.

Prep/Function Chef - We have various prep & function roles available for chefs with a bit of experience including a fixed term prep role minimum of 25 hours per week (some weeks could 40) mid October to Christmas with a possibility of extending through January to March .

Our venue – The Vines Club – is fully licenced and so we need a great bar Team to help run the place! We are looking for a Bar Manager to cover every second weekend, additional shifts are also available. This is a Wedding and Functions venue so looking for someone who is comfortable in that environment.

Dishies – lots of catering means lots of dishes! We have a core Team who do a great job and occasionally need a hand. Dish shifts are primarily Saturday and Sunday and, in the peak season, weekdays in the lead up to Christmas.

Like many folk, we have been a little at a loss as to what to do to help all of those who have been impacted by the cyclone and it's catastrophic damage. Al Brown has come up with the perfect solution - by having us do what we do best - cooking up a storm. This event is happening nationwide and simultaneously - the biggest dinner party in our history.

Join us this Monday, 20th of March, at The Vines Club where along with our sister company VeVerve Real Food Cateringe will be serving a meal of comfort food in honour of those homes and livelihoods have been destroyed and in doing so we can help to rebuild them.
