February 27th 2023 marks our last day in business, as we open our doors for the last time to serve you authentic yum cha and Chinese cuisine. Thank you all for your support and appreciation over the past 30 years! Great to see familiar faces before we say farewell.

Dear loyal customers,
We are sad to announce after 30 years, Foo San management have decided to retire. The final day of business will be 27th February, new management will take over for minor renovations and reopen beginning of April.

Thank you all for your continued support over the years and look forward to seeing you before we say farewell.

Monday 26th September marks the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. We will be closed 26th & 27th September (as per usual day off).

Happy 30th Anniversary Foo San Restaurant! Free tea on us today. 30 years today, this humble family business started from distributing menus to local letterboxes to endless day & night of hard work and food prep to bring you great yum cha and Chinese cuisine.
As we reflect on our journey: 100+ birthday parties, family gatherings, a wedding 💒, Christchurch earthquake and most recently Covid. From the Foo San family to yours thanks once again for your support 🥟 🥘 🍲
