Thanks to our buddies new funky fish in Blenheim, beautiful Pacific oysters from the Marlborough region have just arrived at Halswell Seafood 🦪

This batch has been exceptionally well grown — the oysters are plump, meaty, and packed with juice, with a really satisfying texture when you bite into them.

Honestly, in terms of texture and juiciness, we think they’re even better than Bluff oysters.

If you love oysters, this is not one to miss!

💛 8 Years of Fish and chips shop & 1 Year of Halswell Noodle Delights 💛

Time truly flies.
In November 2017, my husband and I bravely took over Fish and chips shop— it was the start of our journey as small business owners. At that time, I was expecting our first baby, studying accounting, and helping run the shop at the same time. Looking back, it was exhausting but also one of the most heartwarming chapters of our lives. 💫

The Halswell community has been nothing short of amazing. From the very first year, many of our customers became our friends — some even felt like family.
When I was working up until my due date, so many of you worried about me.
After our baby was born, we received so many thoughtful gifts, kind words, and warm wishes.
Those moments will forever stay in my heart. 💖

A special thank-you to Judy, who has brought delicious strawberries for my daughter every year. Your kindness means more to us than words can express. 🍓

We feel so lucky to live and work in such a caring, loving community.
To all our wonderful Fish and chips shop customers — thank you for your support, patience, and love over these eight incredible years. You are the reason we keep going.

Then, in June 2024, something magical happened again.
The shop next door became available, and it reminded us how often our customers had asked, “Do you have Chinese food?”
So we decided — why not bring even more delicious flavors to Halswell?

After months of planning, designing, and countless late nights, we opened Halswell Noodle Delights in mid-November 2024. 🎉
Everything started from zero, but with every word of encouragement, every smile, and every visit from you, the shop slowly found its rhythm and warmth.

Halswell truly feels like one big family — full of love, support, and kindness.
We’ll keep doing our best to bring great food and warm moments to this wonderful community we call home.

Thank you all for walking this journey with us.
Having you with us is truly our biggest blessing. ❤️
