The forecast rain didn’t show up, so we couldn’t possibly deny the good people of Ōtautahi ice cream on this sunny Matariki Friday! If you’re at the gardens, pop in for a coffee or a scoop of your favourite flavour ☕️🍦

Winter hours are here ❄️

Lucky Duck will be open throughout winter on weekends, public holidays and during the school holidays. The perfect excuse to rug up, grab a coffee and enjoy the gardens.

We're at the mercy of the Christchurch weather, so opening hours will be weather dependent during these colder months. If it's bucketing down, we'll be closed for the day.

See you when the sun's shining! ☕🍦🐥

Lucky Ducks 🐥
A little series about big luck.

Lucky Duck #2
In 1928, Alexander Fleming accidentally discovered penicillin after returning from holiday to find mould growing in his lab.
One of the biggest medical breakthroughs in history… completely by accident.

Imagine being that lucky.

Your sign to stop in for a scoop 🍦

A little nostalgic, a little iconic, and always worth the detour. Lucky Duck is open and the freezer’s full. 👀
