You may have noticed, Shorley’s has been shut for winter this year. It was an ad hoc decision made after I returned from two weeks in Melbourne and had an overwhelming schedule restricting the time I could commit to the business.
As time has passed since then, the commitments I have outside of Shorley’s have grown and presented opportunities which are too good to turn down.
Owing to this, the difficult and somewhat emotional decision has been made to close Shorley’s as it currently operates for the foreseeable future. This does present me with an opportunity to offer the space as a ready-to-go set up to someone who is either looking to enter the world of hospitality or take the next step in their hospitality journey and start their own business with reduced financial risk.
Should you, or someone you know be interested in discussing leasing the container cafe set up with all equipment included, please get in touch with me. This is a great opportunity for a young, entrepreneurial barista or hospo star to take the next step. Lease would be a marginal figure and would cover site lease, power, equipment, maintenance and training.
It’s not goodbye forever. It’s long been a dream of mine to own a bar/cafe and I do hope to still live that dream one day.
For now though, I want to thank you all. This has been such an amazing experience and journey. It was filled with exhilarating highs and difficult lows. No business gets by without their customers. Whether they’re regular, occasional or one-off. It was a pleasure to meet and serve you all. I met people from all walks of life over the last three years, some of whom I call friends now.
