On the left, a Thoroughbred Float from 2025. On the right, one from 1994. Same quality, same commitment to safety and craftsmanship – just evolved over time.

Next year marks our 50th anniversary, and we're putting together something special to celebrate. We're creating a time capsule and building a dedicated section on our website to honour five decades of Thoroughbred Floats.

Did you know? Thoroughbred Floats started out as the Campomatic brand in 1977, evolving into Thoroughbred in the 1980s. For nearly 50 years, we've been building floats that carry New Zealand's horses – and its memories.

And we need your help. We want to see your Thoroughbred floats – whether it's a photo from 30+ years ago or one taken yesterday – whether you still own it or not. Share your photos in the comments below, and let us what year it was built.

✈️ Not your average day in the workshop...

When people think of us, they think of horse floats, trailers, truck bodies, repairs and custom engineering. So when this beauty arrived, the team couldn't wipe the smiles off their faces!

This is a Bristol 170 Freighter, and we've been given the incredible opportunity to help bring this piece of aviation history back to life.

Over the coming months we'll be designing and manufacturing brand new wings, carrying out structural engineering work and finishing it off with a fresh paint scheme.

It's projects like this that remind us why we love what we do. Engineering isn't just about steel – it's about solving problems, creating solutions and taking on challenges that others wouldn't.

We'll be sharing plenty of photos and videos as the restoration progresses, so make sure you're following along. We think this is going to be one amazing transformation.

Who knows... maybe one day you'll see this old girl looking as proud as she did decades ago.

Stay tuned... the journey starts now! 👏

For sale on behalf, with a brand new WOF and fully registered, this Luxury Liner is an oldie but a goodie. It comes with 3mm aluminium floor with rubber, two storage seats, a dust cover, hydraulic braking system, overhead shelf and table. There is water on board, however the pump isn't currently working.

FINALLY! It's not raining, so I was able to get photos of this stunner outside this afternoon. This beautiful float is departing this afternoon to its new home – a gorgeous 3 Horse Angle Load with adjustable bays, swing-out tack box, rear lift-up door and front storage box – a great everyday workhorse for our clients.

This beautiful 3HVX Angle Load departed for its new home this morning. This float is outfitted with a swing-out tack box, swing-down cover racks, gas hob, sink and tap, higher checker plate, water heater, wardrobe, overhead filled-in cover rack, a pull out chiller draw and a BedPod!
