10 YEARS OF THE BA’ALEWA ICE CREAM SANDWICH 🖤

Our day one dessert.

First imagined back in Lebanon in 2015, written down in my notebook when I was on my uncle’s terrace. It was the very first dish I put on the menu as I was building the idea of the restaurant in my mind, thinking about what Gemmayze Street could be, and how it could represent Lebanese food in a modern way. When we opened our doors in 2016, it became somewhat of a signature and has seen countless iterations over the past decade.

Fast forward to today, and our newest version combines pistachio ice cream, apple jelly, vanilla and filo.
