We regularly roast small batches in our 15 kg Has Garanti drum roaster, each batch created in true artisan style to bring you the freshest cup, every time. Meet Clint Yeastwood, his very well-travelled sourdough starter. He sometimes spends his days hanging out on top of the coffee machine, getting just the right amount of warmth and plenty of attention.

Is this just an unusual roastery companion... or could it be a little hint at something new coming to Wētā? 👀

Who would have thought our roastery would one day become the setting for a 60th birthday celebration! ☕🎉🥂🎂

When our lovely customer Shelley asked if she could hire the space for her 60th, we were delighted to say yes. Last Saturday she transformed the roastery into a wonderful venue for family and friends, and from all accounts everyone had an amazing evening.

Morrin Rd Roastery is closed tomorrow, reopening Saturday 11th July...
Rāwhiti Road is open Friday 10th July 8am-12noon and the rest of the weekend as usual...😁☕

🚧 A little refresh is coming to Rāwhiti Road...

It's hard to believe it's been 2 years since we moved our coffee roaster to its new home at Morrin Road. Ever since then, the space at the back of Rāwhiti has been patiently waiting its turn while Morrin Road kept us more than a little busy! 😅
From tomorrow, we'll be building a new wall behind the counter and finally giving the space the finishing touch it's been missing.

Please bear with us while the work is underway. We'll do our best to minimise any disruption and keep the coffee flowing!😁🗜🛠☕

After 4.5 years of great coffee, great chats and countless memorable moments, Rebecca is moving on from the Wētā team. 😢

From surfing to DJing, fashion show project management, top-level hockey and travelling the world, she's one of those people who throws herself wholeheartedly into everything she does. More importantly, she's been a wonderful friend, teammate and part of the fabric of Wētā. Her positivity, kindness and ability to make people feel welcome have touched so many customers and colleagues over the years.

Rebecca is heading into a full time role in an area she's incredibly passionate about, and while we're excited to see what comes next for her, it's hard not to feel like we're losing a little piece of the Wētā family.

Thank you for everything, Rebecca. We're going to miss you enormously, but we couldn't be more proud of you!
