Many of you know us through our pizzas, but not many know the story behind them… 🍕❤️
Today, we’d love to open up a little piece of our hearts and share who we are, how this dream began, and why it’s called Roco Pizza. Here we go !
We’re Dani and Cris, a Chilean couple who decided to start a new chapter in Auckland New Zealand, almost three years ago.
We both arrived with our professional backgrounds. Cris is a graphic designer, and I’m a Business Administration Engineer. Like many immigrants, moving to a new country meant reinventing ourselves and starting from scratch.
That journey led us into completely new industries, pushed us outside our comfort zones, and taught us that it’s never too late to start again. Today, Cris is back working in his profession, while I discovered a new passion in the world of retail and fashion. But there was one dream we never let go of: building something of our own!❤️
After our full time jobs, we spend our free time bringing Roco Pizza to life. Every recipe, every dough, and every little detail has been created with love, dedication, and countless hours of hard work. Step by step, as the team that we are, we’ve been turning this dream into reality.
And I have to say it… Cris has truly magical hands. ❤️ Everything he cooks is made with so much love that it genuinely brings happiness to the people who taste it. I was simply lucky enough to convince him to share that talent with all of you.
Now we’d love to tell you something very special…
Roco was my grandfather’s second surname and one of the most important people in my life. He passed away a few years ago, but his love, his values, and the memories he left us continue to guide us every single day. That’s how Roco Pizza was born, a name that represents our roots, our family, and the love we put into every pizza we make. In a way, we feel that he’s still part of this dream.
Building a business and a new life on the other side of the world, in another language and far away from the people we love most, hasn’t always been easy. But every order, every message, and every person who enjoys our pizzas reminds us why we started❤️(The story continues below)⬇️
