Launching New Cake Day is the best kind of day. 😝🍰

1. Banoffee Gateau 🍫: I’ve always wanted to make a Banoffee treat, so this time we’re doing it with a twist. Rich dark chocolate gateau base, silky ganache, fresh bananas, and salted caramel, topped with roasted pecans and airy mascarpone cream. It’s deep, crunchy, and seriously indulgent.

2. Taro Ube Cloud ☁️: If you grew up loving taro ice cream, this soft, fragrant cake will take you right back.

✨Uji Matcha Strawberry Cake✨

We have been receiving so many requests asking if we do matcha cakes the past one year of operating our online cake business here in Auckland. And CY and I have also been trying to search for great matcha that’s suitable for our baked goods.

On this trip back home, we managed to reconnect with our Japanese supplier that we used to work with previously for our cafe, and we are so pleased that he saved up some great matcha for us this round! We got 2 different grades of matcha to make our special blend for our cakes and other baked goods.

Dark chocolate, hojicha, and fig - a combination that i didn’t know will go so well together. There’s something so grounding about the smell of Hojicha. We kept the sweetness low to let the earthiness of the tea and the natural honey of the figs do the heavy lifting. Nothing fancy, just honest ingredients in a single slice. 🍰

As we are taking a 3 weeks break flying back Malaysia to celebrate CNY with family, CY and I want to create something for our NZ fam before we go on for the break! We were thinking to create something that you all can possibly keep for 2-3weeks (while waiting for us to come back 😛) and thus, we came out with this PREMIUM CNY COOKIES COMBO ❤️

Matcha-Coated Pistachio Almond + Single Origin Earl Grey Chocolate Noir Sable

We’ve leveled up the traditional CNY cookie jar this year with these :
1. Matcha-Coated Pistachio Almond: We took the nuttiest pistachio paste (made in-house!) and paired it with the gold standard of tea— ‘s Okumidori blend. It’s nutty, earthy, and perfectly balanced.

2. Earl Grey Chocolate Caramel Noir Sable: Think of this as a luxury dessert in a single bite. Featuring AO Cacao’s single-origin chocolate from PNG, infused with Earl Grey and dripping with homemade salted caramel. The crunch of hazelnut makes it an instant favorite.

On top of that, Fig season is finally here and i know i have to do something with it!! I have been waiting for fig season to arrive since last year.
