What a night! 🎉 Last night we had the privilege of celebrating our very first Lewisham Awards nomination alongside the people who make Hill House Café and Farm House Café what they are every single day – our incredible team.
It was so special seeing everyone swapped out of aprons, chef jackets and coffee cups, and into their finest outfits. We're much more used to seeing Zee or Norman chopping onions, Charaka covered in flour, and the team running coffees than we are seeing them tearing up the dance floor! 😂
One of the best parts of the evening was being surrounded by so many amazing hospitality people. From bartenders and baristas to chefs, managers and hospitality heroes, it was a reminder of just how many passionate people work behind the scenes to create memorable experiences every day. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees! 🥰
There were plenty of laughs, questionable dance moves, great conversations, and a lot of celebrating. While we didn't take home a trophy this year, being nominated alongside some of Auckland's best is something we're incredibly proud of.
To our team – thank you. Thank you for the early mornings, late finishes, busy weekends, and the care you put into every coffee, every plate, and every guest experience.
Now it's back to making coffees, baking Sin In A Buns, and serving brunch... although some of us might need another coffee after last night's dance moves. ☕💃🕺
