Our parent orga, Takiwatanga Whakatere has been considered for sing it forward at the Devon, 25th Sept, come along to support and we are truly grateful.

We’re excited to announce that 🩷 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘄𝗮̄𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲 🩷 is our September Sing It Forward recipient!

This month’s cause was chosen by our team member Ayla, who wanted to support neurodivergent young people and their whānau in our local community.

“Having a neurodivergent child has been a real eye-opener to some of the challenges families can face. I wanted to find a way to give back and help others access the support, information and connection they need.”

Takiwātanga Whakatere supports neurodivergent rangatahi and their whānau, making it a great local fit for the cause Ayla wanted to support.

𝗦𝗼, 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟱 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝘁 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱. Every koha, big or small, will go directly to Takiwātanga Whakatere.

Together, we can make a difference, one song at a time. 🎶
Each month, one of our Devon team members chooses a local charity, community group, school or not-for-profit organisation that’s close to their heart. Any koha received during Karaoke Night goes directly to that chosen cause. To help make an even bigger difference, The Devon Tavern and Braided Rivers Community Trust will match the koha raised, up to $200.
