Well… someone asked for ribs on one of our posts once.

We heard ya. 😂

So this Friday we’re getting stuck into BBQ Ribs — sticky, saucy, smoky and just the sort of dinner that requires plenty of napkins and absolutely no dignity.

🚗😍 Now THIS a collection of beauties!

We've had some absolutely stunning cars cruising through Greta Valley over the weekend on their way to and from the Kaikōura Hop.

The chrome, the paintwork, the polish… these owners certainly know how to look after their pride and joy!

It was so lovely to welcome back some old friends and familiar faces, & to meet some new friends along the way.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to call in, have a yarn and let us admire your wheels.

We hope to see you all back at the Tavern sometime soon.

☀️ FRIDAY HAS ARRIVED… AND SO HAS THE SPECIAL!

It’s been a beautiful day here at the Tavern — sunshine, blue skies and enough warmth to make us briefly forget winter ever existed.

So we’re keeping dinner just as good with tonight’s special:

OPEN STEAK SANDWICH
Thick-cut steak on toasted sourdough, piled with fresh salad greens and tomato, finished with our onion gravy.

Open-faced, because apparently the bread couldn’t handle keeping all that goodness to itself. 😉

Come on down, grab a cold one, find yourself a sunny spot and let Friday do its thing. 🍻

PLANES, TRAINS & AUTOMOBILES… well, mostly automobiles! 😂

What a day at the Tavern! The car park was looking pretty flash with the MG Car Club rolling in, plus a great bunch of motorcyclists making their way through. 🏍️🚗

It was busy, it was buzzing, and there were plenty of hungry mouths to feed — but our awesome team absolutely smashed it! Nothing like a busy day to remind us how lucky we are to have such a great bunch of people behind the bar and in the kitchen.

Plenty of shiny wheels, good stories, full bellies and cold drinks — just the way we like it!

Thanks to everyone who stopped in and made it such a cracker of a day at the Greta Valley Tavern.
