Chautari Pokhara This is THE new Chautari page

Chautari is a place for everyone, located between the rice fields a bit outside of Pokhara, the perfect location if you want to take a break from the chaos, the dirty air and the sounds of the city. We have 5 rooms, a big dormitory and plenty of space to put up a tent or a hammock. A little kitchen gives you the possibility to cook or we cook for you some traditional vegetarian food. Our two chickens provide fresh eggs, our little garden is normally full of fresh vegetables and fruits, but sometimes a hungry cow or some monkeys pass by and serve themselves.... sharing right!? walk you are in the lakeside if you are looking for some action or you can go for a walk around and enjoy the beautiful view on the lake. We can teach you some Nepalese language or some traditional dishes, if you are planing a trek we can help you organize it and buy the right equipment for a good price. Everyone is welcome, if you have any questions or you would like to stay with us just send a message or call. Till then we hope you enjoy yourself, have a good time here in Nepal and hopefully see you soon!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has supported and contributed to this relief campaign. 🙏

Recently, following the devastating Bhotekoshi flood, we were able to successfully distribute 46 warm jackets along with stationery and other essential supplies to children and families affected by the disaster.

At the moment, travelling to Rasuwa has been very difficult due to the damaged and challenging road conditions. Because of this, we have distributed some of the available supplies to affected people here. We still have some jackets and other relief materials with us, and we are planning to take these supplies to Rasuwa and distribute them directly to those in need as soon as possible.

There is still a great need for warm clothing, food, stationery, and other essential supplies among affected families and children.

If anyone would like to join hands with us, contribute relief materials, or help with the distribution, please feel free to coordinate with us. Every small contribution can make a meaningful difference in the lives of people affected by this disaster.

Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, kindness, and trust. 🙏

Namaste and heartfelt greetings to everyone.

I am Suraj Tamang, and my home district is Rasuwa. While I was living in Pokhara, I had the opportunity to meet many of you closely, build a connection with you, and experience your warmth and kindness.

You may already be aware of the devastating floods and landslides that have recently struck my home district, Rasuwa. In this terrible disaster, many of my friends, brothers, relatives, and people I know have gone missing. Some have lost their lives, while many of those who survived have lost their homes and everything they had.

While I was in Pokhara, I had the opportunity to visit my village and other areas affected by the floods and landslides together with many friends here. I had wonderful memories of those places—the kindness and warm nature of the people, the beautiful surroundings, and the peaceful moments we shared. But today, those same places have been devastated by a massive flood and landslide. Entire villages and settlements have been swept away. The destruction and pain are beyond words.

Friends and relatives with whom I grew up and played together since childhood are now among those affected by this disaster. Truly, we Nepalis and our country Nepal are going through an extremely painful and difficult time. My birthplace and home district, Rasuwa, in particular, has suffered tremendous human and physical losses.

At this heartbreaking and critical time, I sincerely appeal to everyone here, through this Chautari page, to extend whatever support you can to the people affected by this disaster.

Those who can help physically, please come forward. Those who can contribute financially, please do so. Even a small contribution from each of us can bring hope and relief to someone who is suffering.

Rasuwa is crying, and the people of Rasuwa are in pain. Let us come together, stand united, and support our brothers and sisters in this difficult time.

🙏 Thank you all for your kindness, support, and solidarity. 🙏
