HillStation Farm and Homestay Pvt Ltd is a social business venture established to promote agritourism in Nepal. Agricultural Tourism is the concept of Visiting a working farm that is agricultural, horticultural, and agribusiness operation for the purpose of enjoyment, education, or active involvement in the activities of the farm. The main ambition of agriculture is to build a system to run it to
full potential to maximize the return in investment. Aatreya is trying to do so by promoting agro-tourism. We don’t just rely on our produce to be sold elsewhere at the market but we continuously encourage and attract visitors to visit our farm. Aatreya is working on one of the world’s biggest challenges: “How to ensure food security for the growing population in a sustainable way”. We try to maximize our products by utilizing a fine balance of technology and practical experiences. Knowledge of latest practices, technology and product development is continually intertwined with the essence of farming to produce highest quality products. The consumer-demand for organic agricultural products is ever increasing. So, our goal is to be constant innovator in the field of agriculture. We are in continuous search of new products and varieties so as to fulfil the consumer demand. In order to achieve these goals we are continuously analyzing and monitoring new trends of market. Aatreya is currently operating in about 25 ropanis of land located at Kaudol-7, Chunikhel VDC, Kathmandu, on a beautiful foothill of Shivapuri. All our produce is completely organic. We are growing different varieties of vegetables and plants at our farm. We are implementing new cultivation methods in the field, to produce safe and high quality organic products. We also house different kind of animals like cow, goat, chicken, duck, turkey, quail for meat and dairy purpose. We have also built modern and efficient sheds to house these animals. There is growing concern and increasing awareness over food quality and safety. Aatreya will try to negate this fact by encouraging visitors to visit our farm so they can trace their products from the farm to their kitchen. This will ensure them that the produce they are consuming is fully safe and of high quality. Aatreya is also committed on education, demonstration and outreach so as to help the community and country as a whole.
