Two University of Mississippi students were found dead in separate incidents in Oxford, Mississippi, as authorities continue investigating the circumstances surrounding both deaths.

The students were found Monday, September 21, according to authorities. One was found on the Ole Miss campus, while the other was found at a location in Oxford. Their identities have not been publicly released.

Lafayette County Metro Narcotics said the deaths are being investigated separately and that there is currently no confirmed evidence connecting the two cases. Officials also said packaged kratom purchased from a retail store was recovered during both investigations.

Noah’s father, Rhys Woods, described his son as the “sweetest and most innocent little boy” and thanked the many people who joined the search and supported the family during the difficult days.
