The halibut season is now in full swing, and fish are being landed every day. Despite changing weather conditions throughout the week, the fishing remained excellent, with an impressive 44 halibut landed last week alone!

It's always exciting to see both experienced anglers and first-time visitors experience the thrill of hooking into one of these powerful fish. The outlook for the coming weeks is very promising, and we look forward to many more unforgettable days on the water.

he skrei has now left us for this season, but there’s still plenty of cod being caught. More importantly, the halibut fishing is really starting to take off.

Several great fish have already been landed, and things are only getting started. Conditions are improving, the fish are active, and the coming weeks are looking very promising.

I’m sure it won’t be long before we see the first 2-meter halibut of the 2027 season.

There is truly something magical about the Northern Lights. If you’ve never experienced a powerful display on a crisp winter night, it’s hard to fully grasp just how incredible it can be.

It often begins quietly — a faint glow on the horizon, almost easy to miss if you’re not paying attention. But then, suddenly, the sky comes alive. Waves of green start to move and shift above you, sometimes joined by shades of purple and even deep red, dancing across the darkness in a way that feels almost unreal.

Standing there in the cold, surrounded by silence, you can’t help but feel small in the best possible way. The mountains, the frozen ground, and the endless sky all become part of something much bigger than yourself.
