Café le Frère

….next Tuesday, on February 13th Café le Frère has been in service for 8 years. This will also be the last day Café Le Frère is open…In 2023 we had the best year in our history; with many lovely regulars, a good group of roaming guests and quite a few new faces. �
There was always a plan for vol. 2 of Café Le Frère, but recently I realised this would mean I have to choose between my other commitments or being 100% available to conduct Café Le Frère to that next level. So, a decision has been made to end the Café le Frère experience while we are at the top, hence on our 8th birthday - February 13th it is all over.

Dear guests, friends and supporters, the days are numbered. For this last week in service I will again spend time behind the bar together with our hard working staff. Last but not least, special thanks to all former and current coworkers over these 8 years for creating an open and friendly atmosphere at Café le Frère, it was not possible without you.…wishing you all the best from le frère...

Hyvvää kväänikansan päivää!

I dag 16 mars er det Kvenfolkets dag - her på Café Le Frère har vi gjort et forsøk på å lage kvensk tekake:-)

Vi har også fått fint besøk som har med seg kvääniflaku – kvenflagget gratulerer med dagen!

There will be musical performance by Di Yiddishe Kapelye. Art historian & associate professor at NTNU, Daniel Johansen will be talking about the Jewish quarter in and around Brattørveita. …in search for a good and meaningful gift for Christmas? We have a very special coffee from Fred’s Farm in Rwanda. This farm is supported by a small Norwegian based voluntary project in Nyamagabe district in southern Rwanda - working and caring for both people and the environment.
