Yesterday was not a happy day. I made a terrible mistake that could have had awful consequences. Unfortunately I left some bread in the oven, which set off the smoke alarms late at night. This caused disruption and distress to all the neighbours, and even led to an evacuation in the early hours of the morning. I take full responsibility for this, as it is my department of our collective that must manage these tasks. It breaks my heart to think of how frightening it must have been to be woken up like that. Thankfully, no one was injured, there was no fire, and it was only smoke. After all the hard work that we put in to get our collective open, it's really disheartening to have this happen. As an apology, I will be going to each flat to personally apologize face to face, and will also bring pastries and strawberry tarts for the entire building.

Hey y'all! We've got an important announcement as we’re ready to kick off the summer holidays. So… we'll be gone the whole of July here at pitstop. But the long awaited news that our new baby babbo is opening up!

We've been working on it with a lot of patience and thought and we’re excited to share this new journey. Plus, it's located in Frysja, and we're gonna be serving up some traditional Danish smørbrød for lunch, and a whole bunch of fresh beers and schnapps. At night we're gonna have some good ol' classic Danish cooking, made the way we like it. It's gonna be like a big dinner party - just like the ones they have back home. We'll be open Thursday-Sunday, from 11:30 to 21:00.

Oh, and don't forget the bakery! We're also gonna have a little urban bakery section in the production bakery; we're calling it the 'Back Door Bakery'. You can come in and Karen and her baking team will have all sorts of yummy treats for you.

We're really excited to start this new adventure, and yeah, it has taken a long time to open, so I'm sure you understand why I'm a bit nervous. I've never even cooked Danish food before, so I had to find a lot of courage and my balls - It’s time for us to dig deep and give you guys a new experience ❤️
