Wist je dat het allereerste Chinese eethuis van Nederland in 1920 in Rotterdam opende? Cheung Kwok Low heette het, gevestigd in de wijk Katendrecht. Chinezen kwamen oorspronkelijk naar Nederland als havenarbeiders en stokers op schepen. Toen werk schaars werd, begonnen ze eigen eethuisjes. De rest is geschiedenis! Vanaf 1973 zijn wij trots onderdeel van deze rijke culinaire traditie in Weert.

Did you know the very first Chinese eatery in the Netherlands opened in 1920 in Rotterdam? It was called Cheung Kwok Low, located in the Katendrecht district. The Chinese originally came to the Netherlands as dockworkers and ship stokers. When work became scarce, they started their own eateries. The rest is history! Since 1973, we've been proud to be part of this rich culinary tradition here in Weert.
