Meet Gundikhan — the first Indian coffee to join the Manhattan lineup! 🇮🇳

Many of you have asked us to bring Indian coffee to Manhattan, but for a long time, we couldn’t find the right coffee to start with. That changed this year, when we tried a lot from Gundikhan Estate and knew we’d found the one.

This yeast-fermented washed coffee combines the crisp freshness of green apple with the gentle sweetness of brown sugar, complemented by the citrusy spice of black lime (loumi) and a rich, syrupy finish that lingers on the palate.

Available in both espresso and filter roasts.

We’re excited to finally share Indian coffee with you. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! ☕️

🇮🇳 Indian coffee joins the Manhattan lineup for the first time!

Many of you have asked us to bring Indian coffee to Manhattan. For a long time, we couldn’t find the right coffee to start with. But this year, we tried a lot from Gundikhan Estate and knew we’d found the one.

That’s why we wanted to dedicate this post to the producer behind this coffee and the story of his farm.

🌿 Meet Gundikhan Estate

Located at 1,300–1,400 masl in Karnataka’s Chikmagalur district, Gundikhan Estate is part of the Kaad Kaapi collective, a group of producers committed to both specialty coffee and wildlife conservation.

Producer Saif Ulla focuses on careful processing, preserving native tree diversity, and growing coffee in harmony with the surrounding ecosystem.

🐘 Coffee and wildlife, side by side

The farm is home to elephants, tigers, Indian gaurs, and a rich variety of birdlife. Protecting this biodiversity requires maintaining a dense tree canopy, which comes with significant costs and can reduce coffee yields. Wildlife can also damage coffee plants.

Kaad Kaapi producers help make this approach possible by focusing on high-quality specialty coffee that commands premium prices. In this way, coffee becomes more than a crop — it helps support farming practices that protect native wildlife and preserve biodiversity.

We’re proud to share this coffee with you and hope you’ll enjoy discovering its story as much as we have. ☕️

☕️ Only one bag existed. And we got our hands on it. 👀

Last year, we started our coffee subscription so you’d never wake up, turn on your grinder, and discover… no coffee. 😅

Since then, so many of you have joined our coffee club, and we wanted to say thank you with something truly special. ❤️

Meet this exclusive Pacamara from Guatemala by Eddie McDonald 🇬🇹

One sip was all it took. We knew this coffee belonged in our Competition category.

There was just one catch:
Only ONE bag was produced. 🤯
Of course, we bought it.

And now, we’re sharing it exclusively with our subscribers. 🫶
You can’t buy this coffee separately — it’s our little gift to you for being part of the club.
And who knows… this might not be the last rare coffee we surprise you with. 👀

Stay subscribed. Keep your grinder ready. You never know what’s coming next. ☕️❤️

Natural Pacamara from Fredy Orantes is back! 🍇

Last year, we had a coffee from Fredy Orantes, and you loved it so much that we couldn’t resist bringing his coffee back again!

Fredy is a prominent coffee grower in Santa Rosa, known for his dedication to maintaining high standards throughout cultivation and harvesting to produce exceptional coffees.

For this lot, only the ripest cherries are carefully selected and placed in clean sacks for approximately 48 hours of fermentation. The coffee is then moved to raised beds in Fraijanes, where it dries for around 25–30 days under the abundant sunlight, with frequent turning to ensure even drying.

In the cup, you’ll find green grapes, lime, and honey, with a silky mouthfeel.

Available for both filter and espresso. ☕️

We’re excited to be part of The Fermentation Project — a collaborative initiative by James Hoffmann , Lucia Solis , and Caravela Coffee exploring how controlled fermentation can influence the flavor of coffee.

We’d love to invite you to join us a little earlier, at 15:30, for a tour of our roastery. Come see where we roast the coffee you know and love, discover more about our roasting process, and get a behind-the-scenes look at Manhattan Coffee Roasters.

We’re so excited to release another Ethiopian coffee from the one and only “King of Guji” — Ture Waji! 🇪🇹

Same variety, completely different processing, and a whole new experience in your morning cup.

This lot underwent an initial fermentation in plastic barrels for 48 hours before being dried on raised beds, just like a traditional natural, for 15–20 days.

Expect vibrant notes of blueberry, orange, and pink Fruittella, with a juicy, fruit-forward mouthfeel. 🍊🫐

Another beautiful expression of Guji, showcasing just how much processing can transform the character of the same variety ✨
