Can’t believe it already has been 1 year! In March 2025, we together with our publisher released No Halfway Cooks — a cookbook inspired by Don’s Noodle Shop, a cult restaurant that lives on through the book.

Built on bold flavours, personal roots, and travels across Asia and Oceania, it brings together dishes from the original menu — from noodles and dumplings to ferments — all shaped by a no-compromise approach to cooking.

Now, we’re looking beyond the Netherlands and Belgium.
We’d love to bring No Halfway Cooks to an international audience, particularly in the UK and Australia, and are currently exploring connections with publishers and literary agents.

If you’re in publishing — or know someone who might be a good fit — I’d really appreciate a connection or introduction.

What an amazing first book launch day we had Yesterday at Gianotten Mutsaers together with Good Cook. We are super overwhelmed by the big show up, lovely catch ups, Don’s stories and love you guys gave us. Our cook book ‘No Halfway Cooks’ is now available in stores through NL & BE and of course online.

Iedereen is welkom op onze officiële boeklancering op donderdag 20 maart in boekenwinkel Gianotten Mutsaers in Tilburg. Na de boekpresentatie tussen 16:00 en 17:00, blijven wij de rest van de avond (18:00 - 21:00) nog hangen om boeken te signeren en bij te kletsen! Zien we je daar?

Everyone is welcome at our official book launch on Thursday March 20, at bookstore Gianotten-Mutsaers in Tilburg. After the book presentation from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, we’ll be hanging around for the rest of the evening (6:00 PM - 9:00 PM) to sign books and catch up! Will we see you there?

TILBURG - Het was een eetzaakje waar de hele stad het over had, toch bestond Don’s Noodle Shop slechts vier jaar. Jody Franz en Stan Beaujean kozen voor zichzelf en de kinderen. Nu komen ze terug met een kookboek. Daarin zit een snufje Don’s maar vooral hun eigen leven.
