Meet Chuck: our new chef! He grew up in a small town in Ohio, where he spent time in the kitchen with his parents and grandma. He started out baking cookies and never really stopped cooking. The food he loves most still takes him back to those family meals: American classics, made to bring people together.👨🍳
He and his wife moved to the Netherlands a few years ago, and if Chuck isn’t in our kitchen, there’s a good chance he’s somewhere on his bike. “Being able to get around without a car is such a pleasure. The trains, the bikes, the way everything connects. I love it here.”🚲
What won him over at by Jarmusch? A menu full of food he actually wants to cook and eat, plus a team that’s in it together. And if the head chef had to pick just one dish? Our buttermilk pancakes. Crispy on top, fluffy inside and, according to Chuck, pretty hard to beat. We’re not arguing.🥞
