IMPORTANT: Last chance to order some delicious sourdough bread before we TEMPORARILY close!

We have come to the decision that for the foreseeable future we will close Bakkerij Zuur temporarily in order to reflect on our progress so far and to improve in areas that require more attention. This decision has been made in order to gain more experience in managing a business as well as to take time to grow, collaborate and share projects that we were so far unable to. We have big dreams for Bakkerij Zuur, however, now is the time to recharge and move in another direction (for the time being).

On a more exciting note, we will keep the Facebook/Instagram pages running where we will share new and exciting content such as new collaborations with food photographers, bakers and creatives, recipes and 'how to make at home' guides and videos, and our journey in discovering new things to bake and experiment with. We're happy to hear from you as well, about what you would like to see from us so do let us know

Plant based Sourdough doughnuts are back🎉

This week we will have our first try back with these fluffy sweets😊 from Thursday-Saturday you can order them in packs of x2 or x4, that will be filled with vanilla cream and raspberries🍩

Our favorite paistry - Bostock- is back!🙌 The soft and rich brioche dough gets drowned in orange blossom syrup, topped with almond cream and shaved almonds and baked quickly in a hot oven🤤 What comes out is a crunchy yet soft paistry filled with rich almond paste and crunchy almonds on top!🧡 Would you like to give these sweet treats a try? We are closed till the 5th of January, however, PRE ORDERS are OPEN for the fresh new start in January. In the new year we will be updating you with a changed and improved menu, till then you can still get your last shot at ordering the holiday treat boxes with all the festive cookies and our breads since some will get a makeover and some will leave the season till the next autumn. The pumpkin seed oil loaf! Last week's giveaway winner Mia's choice was the addition of pumpkin seed oil to our classic sourdough loaf. It smelled delicious as it was baking and I was told it tasted quite delicious with added pumpkin seeds on the crust.
This week you have a chance to win your own sourdough flavoured loaf and all you have to do is comment down in the comment section your idea for a flavour combination. Tag your friends next and share the post on Facebook with friends and family.

Orders are OPEN for next week! If you want to try out a sourdough loaf from Zuur or order again this is your chance to let me know and submit your order for next week.

The bread menu is as follows: All bread is 1kg dough weight
- Simple sour 5,-
- Oat porridge loaf 6,50-
- Sweet sesame semolina 6,50-
- City loaf with poppy seeds 6,50-
- Pumpkin loaf with pumpkin puree and seeds 6,50-

Sweet treats:
- Cookie boxes (mix or custom) 7,-
Cookies include Linzer cookies, speculaas, kransjes, peaches cookies with chocolate and walnut filling and vanilla walnut crescents.

You can order via writing to us on our page, Instagram page .zuur or via email: [email protected]

Bake days run from Wednesday - Saturday, and you can order for any of those days unless slots have filled up.

Please include your name, telephone number (ofr contact and payment) and collection preference: delivery (withing central Rotterdam +2eur delivery service) or pick up point at Tom's coffee and paper goods in Rotterdam Noord: Zaagmolenkade 170, 3035 KD Rotterdam.
On Wed-Sat. orders are available for pick up from 12:00 - 17:00 closing time.

Hello everyone! As winter is knocking on our doors and the holiday season has officially begun, I wanted to post a giveaway for the month of December!

In the photos is our new creation - the french onion bread. Can you come up with the next crazy combination?

To enter all you have to do is like this post, tag as many friends and family (who then all become eligible for a free bread), and write in the comments the flavor of bread that you would create. You can go as crazy as you want with suggestions and if a combination works really well with the bread, it might just make an appearance on the regular menu.
You have a week till next Friday to share, like, tag, and comment on this post and on each Friday one person from this post will be chosen randomly and get a free bread of their creation.
