There’s always a second where nobody speaks.
The oysters arrive first, followed by warm brioche topped with smoked eel, green herbs and herring caviar. Sunlight falls across the table, glasses catch the afternoon light and for just a moment everything stands still before the first bite turns the terrace
back into conversation again.
Dishes made to be shared slowly,
somewhere between the sea breeze, another glass of wine and a long afternoon.
