Once a year, the Zaaf puts on its beautiful traditional outfit, fastens its golden bell earrings, and joins its team in an especially elegant Asian restaurant to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
This year, however, it ran into scheduling trouble, as Shrove Tuesday - the highlight of the carnival festivities in the Zaaf’s hometown - happened to fall on the very same day. But the bad weather made it easy for the Zaaf to focus entirely on the New Year’s celebration.
For the Chinese New Year, the Zaaf wishes happiness, good health, and many pleasant surprises.
And to the steward injured during the Shrove Tuesday parade: all the best and a swift recovery - may she soon be back at full strength. 🐑
Einmal im Jahr zieht das Zaaf seine schöne Tracht an, hängt sich die goldenen Glöckchenohrringe an und geht mit seinem Team in ein besonders schickes asiatisches Restaurant, um das chinesische Neujahrsfest zu feiern.
In diesem Jahr geriet es allerdings in Terminschwierigkeiten, denn Veilchendienstag, der Höhepunkt des Karnevalsfest in der Heimatstadt des Zaafs, fiel auf den gleichen Tag wie das Fest. Doch das schlechte Wetter machte es dem Zaaf leicht, sich ganz auf das Neujahrsfest zu konzentrieren.
Zum chinesischen neuen Jahr wünscht das Zaaf Glück, Gesundheit und viele gute Überraschungen.
