Located at Silver Lake Junction this venture is a transformative step for Deus Ex Machina, and a familiar full circle moment for Deus founder Dare Jennings who cut his entrepreneurial teeth as owner-operator of Sydney’s iconic independent record store Phantom Records over 40 years ago. Fast forward to 2024, anyone paying attention will know that music rushed back into the Deus bloodstream via Deus Records & Publishing. Weekly live events are held across the globe in Deus locations, with spiritual homes in Tokyo, Bordeaux, and now, the newly opened concept store in Silver Lake.

The best of Deus apparel across the Classic, Records and Customs ranges sits alongside locally produced ceramics, a curated selection of books and a wall of vinyl records to be enjoyed on our vintage Hifi setup. A sound desk takes up residency in the shopfront window - a spot for both local and visiting international DJs to spin records for the neighbouring community.
