De eerste idéeen om Italiaanse producten te importeren ontstond in 1997 en werden gelanceerd door haar huidige eigenaar en oprichter van Prodotti D’Italia Maurizio Errichiello. Grapa, Sambuca & Amaretto waren de eerste producten die door Prodotti D’Italia werden geimporteerd voor de traditionele Italiaanse restaurants in Amsterdam. In 1998 arriveerden de eerste Italiaanse wijnen uit de regio van P
iemonte. Goede vrienden en zakenpartners van de oom van Maurizio begonnen in deze tijd een samenwerkingsverband met prodotti D’Italia waarmee de basis werd gelegd voor het huidige bedrijf. Een bedrijf dat garant staat voor de import van hoogwaardige kwalitatieve producten. Ook kenmerkt het bedrijf zich door haar charismatische service welke flexible, vernieuwend en betrokken als kenmerken heeft. Eigenschappen die overeenkomen met haar oprichter en hoog in het vaandel staan bij Prodotti D’Ittalia. In 2007 werd het assortiment uitgebreid om hiermee aan de vraag te kunnen voldoen van haar huidige clientelen. Prodotti D’Italia begon met de import van verse producten zoals kaas, ham, prosciutto, pasta, olie en koffie. Geroemd door haar smaak en kwaliteit werd de door ons geimporteerde Mozarella een van onze vaandeldragers van het bedrijf. Om onze doelstelling te bereiken, u het beste assortiment van Italiaanse kwalitatief hoogwaardige producten te bieden, hebben wij in 2010 besloten om groenten en fruit toe te voegen aan onze import. Met de jarenlange ervaring als groothandel voor restaurants in Nederland biedt Prodotti D’italia in 2013 nu ook u de mogelijkheid om in het bezit te komen van het beste wat Italie te bieden heeft.
