Her projects include Art on Toast, an installation inspired by a new breakfast ritual she started during the COVID-19 pandemic.

2026 Autumn 🍂

From the end of summer into autumn,
the Ground cherry slowly turns a vivid shade of orange.
Inside its delicate, papery husk, a single fruit is gently held.
As the season moves on and the leaves and flowers change, within its quiet shelter, the seeds are slowly preparing to carry life into the next generation.
Bathed in the light of autumn,
the Ground cherry quietly carries time into the season to come.

For this Meet the Brewer edition, we are very happy to have our friend Yuta Abe of Abe Shuzo at Utage on September 17!

We’ll be sharing a full Utage dinner with five Abe Shuzo sake, including a few bottles that haven’t made it to Europe before. Yuta will be with us throughout the evening, and after dinner you’re welcome to stay for another drink and chat with him.

Summer is already almost over, but we’d still like to share some of our summer flowers.

Our seasonal installation, SHIKI — the Japanese word for “Four Seasons”is designed to reflect the quiet beauty of each time of year.

Together with Mui , we carefully crafted every detail, hoping the installation would naturally become part of their warm and welcoming atmosphere.

We hope you enjoy the changing seasons at Utage.
