For two weekends, Kerala felt a little closer. And you, our wonderful guests, were the reason. 🌼

Amsterdam and Utrecht, you made our sixth Onam Sadhya at The Madras Diaries feel every bit as special as our first.

We spent days preparing for this celebration, planning the Sadhya and looking after the smallest details. Because we know a meal can bring back memories, spark conversations, and make home feel a little less far away.

Then the tables fill, the conversations flow, and everything we’ve worked towards comes to life.

To our guests: thank you for bringing your loved ones, sharing your memories, and celebrating Onam with us here in the Netherlands.

To our team, in the kitchens and across the floor: thank you for the care you put into every plate and every welcome. We’re proud of you and grateful for everything you brought to this celebration.

Onam Ashamsakal from The Madras Diaries! 🌼

This year marks our 6th Onam Sadhya in the Netherlands, a tradition that has become very special to us.

Our TMD Onam Sadhya journey began in 2021, with one simple thought: to bring the warmth, flavours and spirit of a traditional Kerala Onam celebration to the Netherlands. We’re proud to have been among the first to bring this Sadhya experience here, and it has been wonderful to see the celebration grow bigger every year. ❤️

May this Onam bring happiness, togetherness, prosperity and many beautiful moments shared with family and friends. ✨
