Meet two familiar faces from our Chinese Language Exchange community 🇨🇳🍜

Guus and Yvonne enjoying a bowl together between practicing Mandarin and Chinese calligraphy.

Yvonne runs her own acupuncture studio and regularly joins our language exchange meetups. Guus is on a mission to recreate here in Amsterdam the dynamic Mandarin-speaking entrepreneurial community he experienced during his years in Shenzhen!

Three years ago, we opened our first MOGU 🍜

Then we had the ludicrous idea of opening another one. The stars were aligned.. the idea wouldn’t leave us (Daniel and August).

What followed was months of planning, building, lifting, fixing, unpacking, assembling, and occasionally wondering if this was actually a good idea.

Somewhere between the drills, the deliveries, the plants, and the suspicious number of cardboard boxes, MOGU Central slowly came to life 🛠️

Looking back, it's kind of beautiful.
Also a little bit unhinged 😅
Mostly beautiful 🫶🏻

Huge thanks to everyone who helped us build this place, whether you carried a box, installed a light, planted something green, solved a problem, or simply believed in what we were building 🫶🏻

After months of hard work, MOGU Central is finally open 🥳

And seeing people enjoy the space makes every challenge worth it ❤️
