We are the Indian restaurant Uit India and are looking for 4 Independent working Chef-I to strengthen our kitchen team. You can work both independently and as part of a team, and you feel responsible for a clean and organized kitchen. Our restaurant is located at Houttil 46-B, 1811JN Alkmaar.
Role: Independent working Chef -I
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
ā¢ Independently prepare lunch and dinner dishes
ā¢ Carry out mise en place and other preparatory tasks (cutting, mixing, portioning)
ā¢ Ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of all dishes
ā¢ Apply and comply with HACCP and safety regulations
ā¢ Manage inventory: ordering, receiving, and checking products
ā¢ Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and workspaces
ā¢ Contribute ideas for recipes, menu updates, and more efficient processes
ā¢ Supervising compliance with regulations and the work of the assistants.
We Are Looking for Someone Who:
ā¢ Holds an MBO level 3 diploma of work and thinking level MBO 3.
ā¢ Has strong technical culinary knowledge and skills
ā¢ Shows initiative and can work independently
ā¢ Can handle stress and peak busy periods effectively
ā¢ Functions well within the dynamics of a restaurant team
ā¢ Speaks Dutch or English
ā¢ Is enthusiastic, dedicated, and eager to learn
