A customer placed an order for 50 packs of our 50cl Zobo drink for her wedding. 🥳

To make it even more exciting, she was a first-time customer and also one of my amazing online family. ❤️

She told me the number of guests she was expecting and said she wanted to serve only healthy drinks. Then she asked,
“Can you recommend another drink I can add to make it 1,000 bottles?”

Without thinking twice, I replied,
“Ma’am, our yoghurt drink would be a perfect choice. Your guests will absolutely love it.”

She then asked,
“I’ve sent you the wedding date. I hope you’ll be able to deliver?”

I smiled and replied,
“Ma’am, over-delivering is what I do best!” 😄

She asked one more question,
“Can you deliver early in the morning and hand everything over to my event planner?”

I said,
“Absolutely! I can even deliver the night before if that’s more convenient.”

Then came the message every business owner loves to hear…

“Please check your account. I’ve sent the payment.” 🥹

I replied,
“Thank you so much, Ma’am. Payment received.” ❤️

Fast forward to the wedding day…

My rider and I arrived at the venue as early as 6:30 a.m. because I never want my clients worrying about late deliveries. The venue was already buzzing with activity, just as you’d expect on a wedding morning.

We handed everything over to the event planner and happily headed home, feeling proud of another successful delivery.

Then suddenly…

My little niece woke me up from sleep, holding a ₦500 note, saying,
“Aunty, I want to buy peanut.” 😩😂

Wait… what?!

It was all a dream! 😭🤣

I quickly checked my bank account…
No payment.

Checked my WhatsApp…
No messages.

Checked my DMs…
Nothing.

My heart almost skipped a beat. 😂

My people since morning I have been reading this, I even took pictures so I can zoom it, read and understand.
But at this point of time I never read go half because am not understanding oo 😩

Some months later, my phone spoilt and I lost plenty important documents including the soft copy of my Zobo sticker.

Since na the same designer design and print am, I reached out politely.

“Please help me check your system. I lost my copy.”

Omo… this man replied that his system had crashed and there was no way to recover the file. 😭

I even begged, “Please redesign something very similar. I no get much money now.”

Guess the amount he charged?

₦10,000. Final price. No reduction. No consideration.

At that moment, I just became weak. 💔

I paid him before.
I supported his business.
I only needed small understanding.

That day, I quietly promised myself…

No matter what happens, I won’t work with him again.

Always remember this: don’t be too quick to conclude about someone because of what others are saying. Every story has different sides, and not everything you hear is the complete truth.

HOW I ALMOST GAVE UP ON MY NEW ZOBO STICKER

When I decided to change the look of my Zobo sticker, I met one graphic designer. I paid him for the design and also paid ₦35k for 1,000 stickers.

Omo, delivery come turn to “next week… tomorrow… one small issue.” 😂

But I no vex. As a business owner too, I understood that sometimes things don’t go as planned.

Eventually, I got the stickers and moved on with business.

Little did I know that the real drama had not even started. 😩
