Dame Amonia Ama Hart Spreads Mothering Sunday Love to Elderly Residents in Port Harcourt.
Dame Amonia Ama Hart, Prominent Hospitality Entrepreneur and Chief Executive Officer of Dansville Catering and Event Services, Amons Global, and African Village, paid a humanitarian visit to the Home of the Elderly located on Harbour Road, Port Harcourt, in celebration of Mothering Sunday.
The outreach, which coincides with activities marking the Mothering Sunday activity, brought smiles, renewed hope, and a sense of belonging to the residents of the facility. Widely known for her passion for evangelism and humanitarian missions, Dame Hart has consistently extended support to vulnerable groups, including previous visits to orphanages and motherless babies’ homes. This latest visit further reinforces her commitment to reaching out to the elderly — a cause she holds deeply at heart.
On arrival, Dame Hart and her team were warmly received by Mrs. Pauline Okoro, Head of Caregivers. Through the Dansville initiative — a platform that blends exceptional hospitality services with meaningful community impact — Dame Hart and her team presented gifts and varieties of assorted food items to the residents.
The atmosphere quickly turned celebratory as beneficiaries expressed heartfelt appreciation through singing, dancing, and personal interactions with the philanthropist.
Recognised as a leading figure in the hospitality industry, Dame Hart continues to position Dansville as a high-profile catering brand known not only for delivering exquisite and nutritious meals but also for championing social responsibility and compassionate outreach.
In her remarks, she encouraged the elderly residents to remain strong and courageous, citing the biblical passage Joshua 1:9, and assured them of her continued support and future visits. The residents, in turn, offered prayers for her safety, blessings, and longevity.
The visit concluded leaving a lasting impression of empathy, altruism, and genuine community spirit.
