Dear Online vendors, I hope we're being smart out here.
This last saturday, a lady placed an order via our whatsapp channel and if God did not open my eyes to observe carefully the fraudulent payment receipt she sent, that is how Sortir would have been scammed.
Some persons are not clients, they are criminals who are ready to exploit you at the slightest opportunity.
*Stay woke, keep your eyes sharp and your spirit alert.
*Cross check every receipt sent to you against an original from the same bank and question anything that looks off (wrong spellings, abbreviations, time format, font size, space alignment etc)
*Insist on receiving payment before processing any order.
*Avoid rush and suspect clients that try to rush you. It's a strategy to make you less observant.
*Don't boycott your standard process. Maintain your policies for all clients both returning and new.
*By all means, don't fall a victim to fraud.
