I almost didn’t stay long at the Just Moms Hangout. The program was still unfolding—mothers networking, laughter filling the room—but something tugged at me as I made my way to leave.
Blessing Afolabi.
It had been years since secondary school, years of life pulling us in different directions. Yet somehow, we both knew we’d be at the same event and promised to find each other. In the rush of everything, I almost forgot.
I paused, turned back—and there she was.
Time had passed, but not enough to erase the warmth. We slipped into conversation so easily, like no time had gone by. And then it hit me again—how she has consistently supported my business, always showing up for me in the ways that matter.
Chai… my heart felt full.
I didn’t stay long enough to connect with the other moms or sit through the program. But somehow, it didn’t matter. Showing up led me exactly where I needed to be.
