If you're looking for a natural way to ease your menstrual discomfort, try eating a banana or two each day during your period. Bananas contain potassium and vitamin B6, which may reduce bloating and cramping. Additionally, bananas are a good source of fiber, which can help with digestion.

Water
While it may sound counterintuitive, drinking water can reduce bloating during your period and alleviate some of the pain it causes. Also, drinking hot water can increase blood flow throughout your body and relax your muscles. This can lessen cramps caused by uterine contractions.

Oranges
Oranges are known as a top food for period cramps. Oranges contain more vitamin C than lemons, and they also contain magnesium, potassium, and vitamin D. In fact, oranges have almost as much of these nutrients as milk. A couple of oranges every day may help relieve period cramps and menstrual pain

Dark chocolate
Dark chocolate appears to live up to the hype when it comes to relieving period cramps. Studies suggest that eating between 40–120 grams of dark chocolate daily during your period may help reduce pain. This is probably because dark chocolate is rich in magnesium, which can relax muscles and ease aches.

Peanut butter
Peanut butter is not just a delicious snack, and it can also help relieve menstrual cramps. Peanut butter is a good source of magnesium, which can help to regulate serotonin levels and prevent bloating. It's also best to eat unsalted or low-fat peanut butter, as salt can exacerbate cramps.

Green Vegetables
Cruciferous vegetables more commonly known as green leafy vegetables include spinach, kale, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, and so on. They are rich in calcium and magnesium, both of which help relieve period pain.

Ginger powder
Because it has anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties, it may help with both pain and bloating. One review of 7 studies including over 600 women found that consuming 750–2,000 mg of ginger powder during the first 3–4 days of their period appeared to help reduce period pain
