We are speaking truth to young minds. As they continue to study, empowering them with lofty ideas and brainstorming to be at their best is also the priority of the institution.

This year, we will be hosting the third edition of FECCO Brain Spark. This culture of reaching out to secondary schools within our catchment area is birthed by Dr. O. T. Owan - the current Provost of the college.

We will be watching a brain duel of over 30 schools from Enugu and Anambra states. Young adults in their teens will be staking their brains high for the grand prize.

In 2021, Awlaw High School took the lead.

In 2022, we watched Redemer's High School, Awka grip the trophy.

Which school is next ??

Let us keep a date as it promises one of the best quiz competitions ever held in the east of Niger.

This is it,

The joy you get when promises are made manifest.

To that one true institution that is setting the pace for others to queue in.

This time, after making it known in an interview he granted to the FCCO Digest Magazine team

New departments are in top gear.

The making of the departments will silence the protracted nomenclature that the institution is known for, to an edifying christened polytechnic given the numerous departments accredited under his watch.

The new courses:

Accountancy.

Public Administration.

Marketing.

Coupled with the existing ones will give the institution a facelift.

As we wait for their accreditation by the National Board of Technical Education within the year

We all need to clap for the Provost and his ever-energetic team, for bringing this trophy and other amazing developments to the college.

We are also hopeful that you will spread the good news to those who truly need it.

Today, as we celebrate the Provost of Federal Co-operative College, Oji River on his auspicious birthday, let us not forget the works of his hands.
His resilience to accomplishing the many tasks before him,

His tenacity in believing in the growth and development of the institution,

His expansive ideas of integrating both human and other resources in putting Oji River to work;

His gestures and positive interactions to the host community stakeholders, students and youths;

This man, who inherited the institutions structure little attention,

Today,

From his magnanimous actions and his understanding of what gives a school a name and her pride of place, has worked and still working in revamping the institutions structure.

He came in with his mantra that engrained his mind, as he understands the spot of good name,

To:

Make. Students. Proud of their College,
This, he is doing through the many ideas and vision he has put into reality.

the construction of about 4km FCC link road,

the building and equipping of the ICT Hub

his class of touch on the new management building.

the internal road construction.
the existence of new departments and hostels.
and now,

even though, in the sight of spectators, he is judged morally to be doing a good job,

this born Bayelsa man, who is known for his milkiness and demeanour of a gentle man,

Affirmatively, he has a lot to offer. Even though he rescinds himself from media attention,

He understands the the place of good name and reputation, the morals and beliefs he is born with.
As he represents his family and kinsmen in the public space,

he is love. Not for his office. His personality.

Who Wins the Proudly Fecconite quest?

It is no longer news that the Provost of the College, Dr O.T Owan has given a nod to a FECCONITE Challenge that attracts a bounty of cash prizes. This he did at the grand finale of the 2022 FECCO Brain Spark Quiz Competition organised for senior secondary schools within the college's catchment area.

The Fecconite challenge was received with great enthusiasm by students of the college as 3 students stand a chance of winning N10, 000 and N5,000 worth of cash prizes respectively.

To stand a chance of winning the challenge and the cash prize attached to it, follow the instructions below:

1. Like these pages: Fccojiriver and The Fecconites on Facebook;
2. Make a video of yourself saying how proud you're to be a student or alumni member of the college;
3. Use the hashtag as you make your post
4. Your Facebook profile should indicate Federal Cooperative College, Oji River as the institution of study.
