FROM NOTHING TO $20 BILLION — DON’T GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAM
Good morning, my dear entrepreneur. ❤️
Before you give up on that business… before you look at how far you still have to go… I want you to remember this story.
A young man once asked a billionaire:
“Sir, how did you become wealthy?”
The man smiled and said,
“I sell chicken fingers.”
The young man was surprised.
“Chicken fingers?”
“Yes. I own a restaurant company called Raising Cane’s. I started it in 1996.”
Then the young man asked,
“And what is your net worth today?”
The answer?
More than $20 billion.
But here is the part that touched me the most…
He didn’t start with billions.
When he first wanted to open his restaurant, banks rejected his idea. People didn’t believe in his dream.
But he didn’t allow rejection to become the end of his story.
He went to Alaska, lived in a tent for a month, worked on a fishing boat, and saved money to help fund the dream he believed in.
Look at what that small beginning eventually became.
🌱 A small idea.
🌱 A difficult beginning.
🌱 Many people saying no.
🌱 Hard work.
🌱 Persistence.
🌱 And a dream he refused to abandon.
My dear, maybe your business is still small today.
Maybe you are selling to only a few people.
Maybe you are making mistakes.
Maybe you have been rejected.
Maybe you are looking at other people’s businesses and wondering when your own time will come.
Please don’t stop.
Your beginning does not have to look like someone else’s middle.
You don’t need to have everything figured out today.
You just need to keep moving.
Open your shop.
Post that product.
Make that call.
Learn something new.
Serve your customers well.
Improve your packaging.
Try again.
Start again.
And when you have a bad day, rest if you need to—but don’t bury your dream because of one difficult season.
I am reminding you, and I am reminding myself this morning:
Keep going. Keep learning. Keep improving. Keep believing.
Because sometimes, what looks like a very small beginning today is only the first chapter of a much bigger story.

Wake up.
Take a deep breath.
Go to work.
Your dream still needs you.
